Destination Wedding in Zion National Park

After moving to Southern Utah, the Bolt wedding was one of the first ones that I was contracted to do at Zion Red Rock Oasis by Zion National Park. Ya'll. DESTINATION WEDDINGS ARE GOLD. I mean seriously, what a truly incredible way to say "I DO" and commit to forever with the love of your life.... you're surrounded by the beauty of the national park and you are starting off your journey as Mr. and Mrs. with a bang. I give destination weddings a solid 20/10.

Hiring a wedding coordinator is an absolute must if you're planning a destination wedding though. As their coordinator, I was able to connect the Bolt's to all the vendors they needed in order to plan their wedding. Being a local, I am familiar with all types of vendors and have worked closely with so many of them that I know they'll deliver top notch service and I'm here to meet with them on your behalf if needed.

Have I mentioned that one of my favorite parts about weddings is how unique and individual each one is? I MEAN LOOK AT THIS DECOR!! Heart-eyes all the way thanks for Bloomers Floral and Swoon Vintage Rentals! Their cute 'Til Death' neon sign was the bride's pride and joy of her wedding decor and I have to say, I was in love. #electriclove #boltwedding

And we all know it's not a party without food right? El Senor's Taco Truck for the Win. While we're at it.... can we all take a moment to acknowledge the bride's dress?! I feel like a broken record but I was just IN LOVE WITH EVERY SINGLE PART OF THIS WEDDING! The bride and groom did a fantastic job with all the details in their planning and I was there to execute their dream and make sure it came together exactly how they envisioned it. I might be a little biased, but I think we did a pretty dang good job.

SIDE-NOTE DISCLAIMER: I cannot control the weather, I repeat, I cannot control the weather. This July wedding in Southern Utah was toasty with a bit of a breeze (great to cool us down, not so great for the light-weight table decor that kept blowing away!) so it's a good thing I had a change of clothes after setting up all day so that I wasn't as gross and sweaty for the actual wedding part! As a (destination) wedding coordinator, I create a 'day-of timeline' to make sure that everyone is on the same page about what is happening and when. Part of this timeline includes additional notes + helpful tips.... such as accounting for the weather! For this particular wedding, I made sure to note the dry heat + potential bugs for this outdoor summer wedding so that the guests were prepared. And just in case they weren't?? I keep bug spray, water, and sunscreen in my emergency bridal kit! :)
